Stealthily cosplaying at work today. And by stealth I mean wearing a not terribly accurate set of clothes, pretty much all things that I wear on a regular basis anyway (although it is still too damn hot for this wool skirt), in tribute to a character from a show that I am pretty sure no one else in the office has seen. Well, Barbara in accounting looks like she might be a closet Master Piece fan.

It can't be worse than two years ago when I had to explain Daria to most of them -- and this way I probably wont have to be in the picture that will adorn the wall of the kitchen FOREVER!

I am officially opening my tumblr as an actual place if anyone is interested. Uh, trust me you don't have to be. That would be here under the name silhouettedswallow.

Again, for people who may be interested, silhouetted swallow comes from the song Sweet Liberty from Jane Eyre: the musical.

Lol. gamma_x_orionis's rec for today reminded me that I never posted my submission for the first round of sshg_promptfest here. So ...

So this color test appeared on my facebook feed this morning. I got a 4 with 0 being a perfect score, so now I wonder did all the years Munselling soil train me to see minute color differences? or should I just have been trusting my own reading of the book over other people's from the start.

So with the whole increased free time thing, I made it back to the gym after work today. I lost so much of my running progress over the last four months. Not that I wasn't doing anything in that time -- a lot of it was taken up with the walkertracker thing. I had been working on increasing my speed after finishing the couch to 5k program and had made it up to week 3. Since I knew I had fallen back, I started over again at week 1, but even there I had a hard time keeping up a base jogging pace. Oh well, this is why we don't fall away for four months.

Also it is time to get working on all the craft projects I have floating around, so have a list (in vaguely the order I wish to/should complete them):
- Mini-Weasley Sweater for bookishgeek
- Mini-Weasley Sweater for tralfamadore
- Mini-Weasley Sweater for interchanges (also a logic puzzle based on the common room, but that is not so much a craft)
- Counted needlepoint Christmas tree topper for my mother
- Blue elbow length gloves to go with the awesome 60s 3/4 length sleeve jacket I found at Salvation Army
- Argyle vest
- The Hills are Alive scarf (from the favorite movie swap)

Can it be September now? Please?

So, um, I might have an actual paid singing thing in June. My section leader at church asked me tonight if I would sing with another group she is in because they need another Alto II. Awesome (and a little unexpected because I still feel like I can't carry my own part as well as I should be able to).

Also the weekend is Gospel Music Sunday, because it is the second weekend of Jazz Fest. You know who looks pretty ridiculous singing rocking Gospel music? A bunch of Presbyterians mostly over the age of 50. We dont move so well -- you know, what with the doctrine being historically based in austerity and all.
Just dumping because the term has mostly ended and I can. I should, uh, probably try actually doing these earlier in the week sometimes. Also I don't even know what is up with that Dobby one.
